Heard this song this morning while in the shower. The song resonated with me on at least three different levels and possibly even more...
I Will Walk With You - Bruce Hornsby
A strong man feels weak in the still heat of the day
Nothing is black and white, just a hazy gray
There's a long lonesome sound in the distance calling back to me
You look for some small reward
Everybody wants a little more
You could be the one at my door
Someone I might've seen before
What I come here for
Everything comes and goes
You try to believe but you never know
Anyway the wind blows
Somewhere, sometime
I will walk with you
Long way to go, the road winds on and on
You feel all alone, in the cold light of the dawn
And I know that it's warm by your side, but you're so far away
There's always another wall
Sometimes you feel so small
You could pick me up when I fall
Be the one to help me through it all
Be there when I call
Everything comes and goes
You try to believe but you never know
Anyway the wind blows
Somewhere, sometime
I will walk with you
There's always another wall
Sometimes you feel so small
You could pick me up when I fall
Be the one to help me through it all
Be there when I call
Everything comes and goes
You try to believe but you never know
Anyway the wind blows
Somewhere, sometime
I will walk with you

What is Tim Watching Cam
In a search for a new use of the "useless" webcam, since Bird is no longer and the backyard cam has gotten boring...

Upgrade Blog Software to ver3.1.2
I have updated the software that is used to manage Everett Family Blog. Unfortunately, I am having difficulty upgrading the piece that is used to deny comment spam.
Therefore for the (hopefully) short term, all comments will need to be approved prior to being displayed on the site. Continue to leave comments exactly how you have the past. I will just need to do an extra step prior to them before being seen on the site.

Hornsby at Palace of Fine Arts
I went to see Bruce Hornsby last night with Angela at the Palace of Fine Arts.
The show was great. Due to the "miracle" of the internet and Bruce's policy on audience taping, I was able to download the entire show this morning.
Below is the lyrics and mp3 file to probably my favorite song played last night. They incorporated Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb flawlessly during the song.
Fortunate Son - Bruce Hornsby
I'm sitting wondering, watching the parade
In my ever-present chair
People laughing and smiles all around me
Balloons and paper in my hair
There's a man in a car with the top down
Waving wildly at me
"The poor son of a gun", I know he's thinking
Better him, him than me
I've stared down the devil, and had to look away
Called out to the angels, but no-one ever came
Laid down odd and even, but double zero played
That's alright, I'm a lucky one
Such a fortunate son
I was always taught well, taught well
To be the strong one and keep it inside
But sometimes I sit beside the freeway
And howl out at the dark, dark sky
I might just have to go out and burn one
Have a drink or a few
Fade away in a cloudy haze of smoke
And give the old man's best salute
I've stared down the devil, and had to look away
Called out to the angels, but no-one ever came
Laid down odd and even, but double zero played
That's alright, I'm a lucky one
Such a fortunate son

Funny Adult Comic
Check out Alien Loves Predator.
Almost laugh out loud at times. Caution: the humor is adult in nature (mostly in terms of language usage).

Michigan Tech Football
My college's football program is going into the NCAA Division II Tournament ranked #1. Pretty impressive considering a couple of years ago, the program was almost cancelled.
Read the Sport's Illustrated story for the details: One thing that's still right about college football: Michigan Tech

Hockey Lockout Stat Revisited
258 NHL players are playing in Europe out of 750 total players.
Percentage of NHL Players playing: 34%
Steve and I attended the Cleveland Barons vs. Edmonton Roadrunners hockey game last night in San Jose.
It was free since we are 10 pack ticket holders. Nothing to really write about other than I do miss watching NHL hockey. The American Hockey League just isn't the same.
The highlight of the night was hearing O Canada, the national anthem of Canada. The Canadian anthem was sung due to the fact that Edmonton is in Canada (for those that might be geographically challenged).

Bird/Backyard Cam Offline
For those that are visiting the site to view either the Bird Cam or Backyard Cam... neither is up at the moment.
I tried to rearrange the cam to get a better view of the backyard and wasn't successful before I had to head to work. Will get the Cam situated correctly this weekend.
For the record: have already received an instant messenger disappointed that the Cam wasn't on the backyard.

Live Shows
I have been downloading many live shows. My entire collection is here. I usually add at least 2 shows a week.
For friends and family, I would be more than willing to produce a CD of any show. Just let me know.
For other individuals not a friend or family, I am willing to trade.

btw: the 2005 All Star Hockey game has been canceled this year.
