Relationship Training

An interesting article from the New York Times called "What Shamu Taught Me About a Happy Marriage".

Probably my favorite line is: "But as he basked in my appreciation, the piles became smaller."

Appreciation is a very important key to a strong relationship. Recognizing the positive, being thankful for the good... while at the same time ignoring or down playing the negative. Not allowing the negative to be the focus in the relationship.

We all make mistakes, we all have our faults, but the reverse is also true. We all have things that make us endearing, actions that simply brings a smile to your loved one's face.

I find life is so much more simple and enjoyable if the positive is appreciated, is given attention, is allowed to thrive, causing you to fall in love anew with the person each and every day.
