Tim & Sandra's Great Adventures: Chapter 1 - San Francisco

Guest Blogger: Sandra Ramirez

There we were all dressed up with a plan for a fantastic evening out. Heading up to the city for some awesome food and theater.

First stop - Morton's Steakhouse.... yummy!!!
For those who have never been there (like me) it is most definitely a must do experience. Morton's is known for great steaks, it's ambiance, the bestest desserts and top notch service. I ordered the prime rib, end cut thinking - "eh... prime rib, probably a safe bet since it's usually not too big." Tim ordered the Chicago Style Bone-In Ribeye Steak. When the food finally arrived at our table.... the cruel waiter giggled as he set down 1/2 a cow on my side of the table waiting to see my shocked expression. The 12" dinner plate was smaller than the prime rib sitting on it! Who knew that when you ordered your meal, you would end up with enough food to feed a small country?

After rolling out of Morton's we headed over to the Golden Gate Theater to watch Monty Python's SPAMALOT. An interesting journey trying to find parking in the city. As most people do with 1-way streets...we came very close to going towards oncoming traffic and facing a most funny near death experience. It's always interesting how fast it takes the brain to register that cars are coming at you and not traveling next to you....

I give Monty Python's SPAMALOT a 5 star rating. With flying cows and fireworks, the show was funny, engaging and well worth seeing before it leaves San Francisco!

Our next adventure: Legoland and Disneyland!!!
