The Sneeze

Very interesting and "laugh out loud" (at times) blog.

The Sneeze - Half zine. Half blog. Half not good with fractions.

This posting is a good example of "laugh out loud". Love & Methane: An Open Discussion.

Blue Angels in Salinas

The Blue Angels are making an appearance at the Salinas Airshow the weekend of Oct 2.

I have gone to the Salinas air show for the last 3 years now. Amazing airshow and the Blue Angels are simply amazing.

Here is a Van Halen video that I love. Not sure when it was made (guessing the mid 80's while I was college). The video is "Dream", and it stars the Blue Angels.

Quote of the Day

May those that love us, love us.
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles
So we will know them by their limping.
~Irish Blessing

Brought a small smile to my face...

My Pad from Space

Did you know that you might be able to find an image of your house from space?

Terraserver: http://terraserver.microsoft.com/default.aspx

Here is my house

Below is a slightly correct view, the little push pin isn't correct on the site. My house is the one circled with the bluish color. You can click on the image to see a bigger view of it.

UPDATE: I knew there was another site that does something similiar: GlobeXplorer - http://www.globexplorer.com

Another picture of my house (first house on the bottom from the left (next to the park). You can see my old Mustang in the driveway. This picture was taken 6/22/00. At this point, the Mustang had been parked and not moved for ~ 2 years. Very glad that I finally got rid of it this year.

In this picture, you can see the condos where the vineyards were located. The watermarks are annoying...

I had meet a friend of a friend that worked for GlobeXplorer at a little party (I think during the Christmas time frame last year). Small world...

What is going on with Tim?

Been very quiet on the ol' Everett Family Blog...

I have gotten into a comfortable rhythm (funny looking word) recently.

The life cycle of Tim:

  • Walk / Run a mile at least 3 times a week at 6 am

  • Work a typically 8 to 9 hour day

  • Been cooking dinner at home at least 3 times a week (chicken breast on the George Foreman Grill)

  • Visit Gold's Gym for at least 45 min at least 3 times a week, usually around 9 pm.

  • Nights that I don't go to the gym, at least 60 ab crunches and at least 45 pushups.

  • Volunteering on Thursday nights for two hours with Innvision helping kids with homework and other learning activities during the summer.

Outside of the normal "life cycle", I have been downloading a lot of great live concerts via bittorrent. Requires a bit of busy work to get the music converted into a format that my ipod will play, but well worth it.

Good sites for live concert music:

Spam Spam Spam

Last night I made modifications to the blog that will hopefully not allow spam comments to be posted.

I don't know if anybody has been seeing the spam comments, I have been trying to remove them as fast as they appear. The changes will reject the comments prior to them appearing on the site.

Drop me an email if for some reason, your comment gets rejected (it shouldn't)

Song Lyrics of the Day

Let your soul shine
It's better than sunshine
It's better than moonshne
Damn sure better than rain
Lord now people don't mind
We all get this way sometimes
Got to let your soul shine
Shine till the break of day

- Soulshine / Allman Brothers

Gratitude (Quote of the Day)

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Sun is shinin' in the sky,
There ain't a cloud in sight
It's stopped rainin'
Everybody's in a play
And don't you know
It's a beautiful new day.
~Electric Light Orchestra - Mr. Blue Sky
